#WowDabaw: Ultralight Plane Ride at Mati Davao Oriental

DCIM100GOPROGOPR9208.

We landed to our President Duterte's beloved land - Davao City! I was so impressed of this big city as I first came here. Davao has gentle and disciplined people. The streets, markets, fruit stands, bus terminals are truly clean. They have four lane roads and their streetlights are useful and functioning. They are gradually implementing the "wire-free city" project where electrical wires are buried below the ground. How I wish we could have these in Cebu as well.

Moreover, we traveled beyond the city of Davao and reached Mati City in Davao Oriental. We experienced the ultralight plane ride, surfing and skimboarding in Dahican. We traveled back to the city and crossed the nearby island - IGACOS, Island Garden City of Samal. Read the detailed story below.

#BraveTheWave: Starting the Year in Breathtaking Siargao

Aloha! It’s 2017 and I’ve started the year with a very adventurous and “buwis-buhay” experience. This is my first ever trip to Mindanao particularly in CARAGA region. On the very first day of the year, we landed to the City of Island Adventures or what we have known as Surigao City then traveled to Siargao, the surfing capital of the Philippines.

Siargao offered a different experience to me. It is not just the islands and the beaches. To me, it is more on the waves, the dialect and the people. Siargao could be a place I can compare with Palawan (particularly Coron) though I can say Siargao has already been dominated by foreigners. My brother even compared it to Bali in Indonesia. Unlike Coron, it is still rising as one of the best destinations in the Philippines and I’m blessed and lucky to be in such a most talked about place.

#SinagadAngSagada: Banaue-Sagada-Baguio 4D3N Adventure

Almost 8 months of waiting and preparing for this trip to happen, my college friends and I had successfully made our first out-of-Cebu trip together. I personally don’t have any idea of what places Sagada can offer since the initial plan was Ilocos. All I know is that we would be traveling to north of Luzon for more or less 12 hours. I am not used to that. I even puked 4 times during the travel.

I actually browsed the itinerary just the day before the trip so I know what to pack and what not to bring. I never expected that this would turn out to be the most tiresome yet most amazing trip I had this year.

Siempre Samboan: Chasing Waterfalls

It's been a long time I haven't taken a vacay. I've always been busy at work, pressured by our upcoming project releases. I want to be away from these busy streets, far from the havoc. The last two days of the month of July were perfect for a #ChasingWaterfalls weekend experience. Samboan was then on top of my head. :D Five hours away from the city of Cebu to the south is this lovely municipality of Samboan. Badian and Alegria may be famous for canyoneering but then here's surely Samboan giving you bountiful waterfalls experience you will never forget!

5 First Times I Experienced in Our Trip to Coron Palawan

It's almost been a year since Angel from The Travel Buff , my brother and I booked this trip to Coron Palawan. I've been praying and patiently waiting for this time to come. I already filed a leave out of office one month before the trip. I prepared everything I need -- a larger bag, a powerbank, swimming attire, sunglasses and of course, enough money! Here it is! we just made it happen! Palawan is known to be one of the best tourist destinations in the Philippines. Because of that, I am more than happy to have this pride in myself that these first times happened in Coron Palawan.

Buhay Isla: Kalanggaman Island

kalanggaman island header The first time I set my foot in Leyte is in the island of Kalanggaman. I wouldn't want to let go of the opportunity of going to such a paradise when I was invited by The Travel Buff on this trip. Since I was born ready, with not much hesitation, I said YES! From the city of Cebu, we got our bags packed and our necessities ready and headed to North bus Terminal. Since it was a holy week, people from everywhere were lining up for Ceres buses. There were long queues headed to the north of Cebu: Bantayan, San Remigio and Bogo.  But as clever as we are, we've managed to ride on a non-Ceres bus headed to Hagnaya.
